  • Law Lok Ching Cassidy, achieved a score of 5** in English in the HKDSE examination 2026

"The SCMP Mock Exam proved to be an exceptionally insightful preparation tool, primarily because its examination papers mirrored the actual DSE format with remarkable accuracy.

This offered me a precious opportunity to hone my examination techniques and sharpen my time management skills well before the official public exam.

I learned to strategically allocate my time across different sections, ensuring I could handle the intense pressure while keeping a straight head.

Moreover, the detailed feedback I received acted as a roadmap for my final revision. It pinpointed my specific weaknesses, enabling me to channel my study efforts efficiently. Beyond the academic feedback, the immersive simulation of the exam environment was invaluable in reducing my pre-exam anxiety.

Experiencing the same pacing, question styles, and mental stamina required on the actual day boosted my confidence and readied me for the DSE."

  • Chan Sum Yat, achieved a score of 5* in English in the HKDSE examination 2026

"The mock helped me prepare for the real exam in several important ways.

First, it helped me identify which paper I should focus more on and made my revision strategy much clearer. By understanding the areas I needed to improve, I was able to revise in a more focused and effective way.

The mock exam also boosted my confidence. Before taking it, I often felt that my writing was weak. However, the experience and feedback showed me that I was capable of performing better than I expected. This encouraged me to believe in my abilities and approach the real examination with greater confidence.

Moreover, the mock exam gave me a better understanding of what a public examination feels like. It allowed me to experience the pressure of working under time constraints and helped me evaluate my actual performance in an examination setting. The detailed marking scheme was very useful because it helped me identify my strengths and weaknesses and understand how my performance compared with that of other candidates..."
